Hi Knitter, Yes, they do seem fussy, but when they're happy theres no stopping them. I tried to introduce some of mine to a different part of the garden, but no luck. I think they like it partly shady, and not dry out. iris x

Beautiful. I love lily of the valley, as I do lavender and other scented plants. They had some lily of the valley plants in Tescos to be planted in April. Obviously they have reached their sell by date!!

What a lovely display. I can almost smell them Iris.

Like Kitter I was never able to grow them successfully but often buy the scented candles made by Parks. Not the same I know but pretty good. xx

Reminds me that as a child my aunt would send lily of the valley to us by post in a shoe box lined with moss and they always arrived in perfect condition! Don't see many these days xx

They always remind me of my Mum. She loved Lilly of the Valley and had great success growing them. Suzyxxx

HI Iris,

What a lovely photo. I wish I could grow them too, but the soil around here isn't really suitable for them. They must make your home and garden smell lovely.

hugs from Huggs xxx :)
