Glenice the town near me has a river running through the town and it has black swans and loads of different ducks etc living there and the town employs a Duck/Bird warden , its lovely to sit and watch them. Hope you are well :) xxx Fred

Thanks Fred,I am doing ok at the moment,I also have thyroid probs which cause trouble at times, but hey ho,compared to many I am doing great.

I have never seen a black swan,I am pleased to hear that there is a warden,as I do get anxious for all animals if there is a possibility of danger.

Hi Fred, I remember seeing those Black Swans at Dawlish, there was some unusual whistling ducks there to.

Dawlish park is a great place to sit and watch the Swans and ducks while you tuck into one of there Locally made Ice Creams which are amazing. :)

Tony.

Oh fabulous Fred...they're gorgeous. Isn't it funny how the cygnets are still grey with the black swan. You would think she would have little black ones wouldn't you. lol :-) xxx

Thanks for that Dawlish has not changed that much over the years, I live just along a bit and I suppose I take all this here for granted being born here, as I have the sea on my doorstep and Dartmoor just up the road and Exeter and Plymouth both less than an hour away. Speak later Fred x:)

OK now I'm feeling homesick, we used to go to Dawlish Warren when I lived in Plymouth, not so crowded there, oh what lovely memories Ahhh.

Agree with you there, I like the Warren as well the walk along the Dunes and to me most of all was the golf course, was a member there for a good few years and to see all the wild life just dodging the golf balls was beautiful. Maybe you will re visit one day. x :) ;) Fred
