Thanks for that meganell I signed it some time ago as I follow 38 degrees. They have a local meeting in our area coming up soon.

Already made my mind up that way when the coalition started I was hoping for a labour/liberal government but no more. May be wise to ask people who vote to encourage those who do not to do so this time and not vote with the tide at present UKIP is OK as a party but they are a mix of tory lib and labour and quite young yet, what we need is a labour landslide this time around.

I think you will find UKIPS plans for the NHS is the worse possible. They want to finish with free health care and make everyone buy insurance to cover their care bills......which sort of astounds me because I thought that was what my National Insurance stamp was for...

UKIP ok as a party? Didn't you see in the papers that they also don't believe in the NHS and the first thing they would concentrate on is to privatise it. For Gods sake don't vote them otherwise it would be awful and all us lungies would suffer even more. x

I have signed it. x

Has everyone forgotten the state Labour left this country in????????????? What are their policies now on the NHS? Do I really want Alec Salmond propping the country up? This does not mean I will be voting Conservative - I will not! The only way the NHS will change, and it needs to, is to start rooting out at the top! It's like every other public monolith, too many people lining their own pockets and thinking they have a never ending supply of taxpayers money!

I do remember a World wide recession, I remember the cause of that recession. I remember the remember the gradual shift of responsibility from the perpetrators to the those in genuine need. I remember Cameron ' there will be no top down reorganisation of the NHS'..... I remember to listen very carefully to politicians words and treat as lies any statement beginning, we want to, we mean to, what we say is and all spin speak.

Hello Eastridingbigden, I absolutely know how the rich really con the rest of us; in fact I now believe that there isn't a politician in the country, Labour or Conservative, who isn't lining his/her pockets at our expense! Why else do John Prescott, Neil Kinnock, and the rest of these parents want their offspring onto the political ladder! Not a one of them being proffered these safe seats has had a job in their lives but we seem to tolerate it! At my age, I long for the day when someone decides to rebel against the whole shower of them and rebel as if they mean it!

Please Juney read the book the establishment and I agree we need to have a leader that will take them on but its to late for us now we are the dinasausers, the wrinkleys and we should have done something about it when younger but we was to busy buying all the toys they shoved at us so and buying our houses etc etc and now they want it back off us to pay our nursing home fees. We have to admit they are good at controling us L.O.L

Eastridinbigden, will, of course, get my hands on the book but you must never give in to these people who think they know better than we do. I will fight my corner tooth and nail and God help any politician who dares to knock on my door during the next few months prior to the election. They will take off us til the day we are buried and even then they will have put the prices up! Can honestly say I have never hated anyone but I now have come to hate the politicians, of all parties! Take care. Love, Juney

Did not realise this was a political platform. That's me gone!

Why would you go threeputt? This thread is not about a political platform but about something which deeply concerns all of us, as long term patients with serious conditions. Just the kind of people who are likely to suffer badly from more and more privatisation.

I worked for the NHS for many years and saw the changes not for good I'm afraid.

Labour put unrealistic sanctions on the NHS the impact was huge and this is partly why the NHS is suffering so much.

The second reason why the NHS is in a mess is that all people in the EU can use our NHS which beggars belief we only have so many paying in to the pot yet more and more are taking out of this pot many would refer this situation to the '' flood gates being opened '' I think Gordon Brown was also responsible for this.

I think we should be carful what we wish for I also feel I have to balance this up by saying the Tories have done nothing to do away with these scansion's and also a labour MP on the news last week said '' we are proud of the changes we made to the NHS'' I'm sure millions of DR's and nurses will not agree with that statement and I'm sure if we see labour return to power Atos will follow.

Do you think anyone will listen?

Agree with you, Onamission. I spent the whole of my working life in the NHS and watched it deteriorate day by day! Nothing has ever been done to stop the deterioration except increase the money pumped in with nothing in return. Only today I read in my daily newspaper about a manager leaving her NHS job with a pay off of £150,000, only to return to the same job the next day! It is going on and it doesn't really matter about recessions, Iraq wars, blame what you like, but the wastage in the NHS is outrageous! Onamission and myself have obviously seen it for ourselves! Also, as the NHS affects all of us then I can't see any point in leaving the site because someone decides to make a comment!

Our hospital had a PCT on this board was a local councillor who lived in Tenerife he was paid £11,000 per year for being on the board and this councillor did more damage to our hospital long story will tell you one day.

The fact is politicians should not be within a 100 miles of the NHS they know nothing about it they have no idea what it is like to a 12 hour shift sort staffed and no beds.

I don't know what will happen at the next election but I do know the NHS is very precious and I enjoyed every minuet working in our hospital.

On Amission I agree with you to a certain extent about politicians but someone has to make the decisions on what to spend our money on and if they get it wrong we can vote them out, we cannot vote out a private company can we, if they are making the decision as to who live or die
