Hi

Not that I have heard, have you further information.

as far as I know not yet but there is a clause now if you need a spare bedroom to have a carer stop overnight but I do not seem to find anything on this as yet. The dictionary and legal definition of a bedroom is a room containing a bed so in my eyes if you make your spare room say into an office with a futon or bed sofa that would be a way round it.

No. Labour introduced legislation which would have stopped the bedroom tax. If the LibDems had supported it too it might have got through but they didn't so we're stuck with it for now, until/if we get a change of government

As everyone says, it hasn't stopped officially yet. However, some council areas have reassessed bedrooms. There is a disparity in the law as to how big a bedroom has to be...too small and it's deemed a box room or storage area, or some other description. As some councils were experiencing large numbers in rent arrears with no hope of getting it back, they have reassessed their housing stock and declassified some bedrooms.
