Abolished bedroom tax???
what's good for the goose is good for the gander if Scotland got rid so should England Wales and Ireland
Hi
Scotland haven't got rid, there are funding discretionary payments for all, from some where else.
Discretionary payments are afforded to all councils, subject to their funding.
Any one on pension credit is exempt.
I no my council seem to be willing to support tenants in need.
Hi Stone our council won't support anyone other than themselves
ours spend hundreds of thousands on stuff that nobody really want , things we do need they don't have money for ,
In my area they are closing 4/5 local cottage hospitals, then cutting 32 beds from the acute ward of the main hospital. It's already heaving in there so I don't know what they are thinking of. x
Well everyone I work with a group who fight to stop these cuts but sadly we can't prevent many of them as we don't control the purse strings. Only consolation is it is much the same all over the country. It's scary how the disabled and elderly will manage in future I think many will be sick, cold, and hungry due to cuts in services and rising costs with benefits frozen even for the vunerable. Not a happy picture is it ??
It isn't possible to abolish a non-existent tax!
So sad that debating the pros & cons of the death by a thousand cuts of the NHS is out of bounds for us to debate on here.
Hi Nikki i also live in bristol and it is still here sad to say x
