Hi

Scotland haven't got rid, there are funding discretionary payments for all, from some where else.

Discretionary payments are afforded to all councils, subject to their funding.

Any one on pension credit is exempt.

I no my council seem to be willing to support tenants in need.

Hi Stone our council won't support anyone other than themselves

same hear they have stood by while ccg close both walk in doctors and don't give a dam if we loose our A&E they are more interested in digging up all the islands and putting them back the same and now they are cutting back on adult disabled.

In my area they are closing 4/5 local cottage hospitals, then cutting 32 beds from the acute ward of the main hospital. It's already heaving in there so I don't know what they are thinking of. x

Well everyone I work with a group who fight to stop these cuts but sadly we can't prevent many of them as we don't control the purse strings. Only consolation is it is much the same all over the country. It's scary how the disabled and elderly will manage in future I think many will be sick, cold, and hungry due to cuts in services and rising costs with benefits frozen even for the vunerable. Not a happy picture is it ??

It isn't possible to abolish a non-existent tax!

It does exist. I know someone who has to pay it on a 4 bedroom house.

The reduction of a subsidy is NOT a tax.

So sad that debating the pros & cons of the death by a thousand cuts of the NHS is out of bounds for us to debate on here.
