It was lovely especially with some fizz too, though i thought i wouldn't make it as it was so hard to walk. Small town and most know me so everyone very encouraging and i had my cylinder lit up with red lights.

You didn't say what you were doing Ruby? Hope you had a good time

Hi Ruby, Had a combined sons birthday /New year party at home, and was just playing the Don't show Keith your teeth game. Had to put mine in first though. Good night last one didn't leave while about 4am.

Fell asleep stretched out on the sofa around eleven and missed everything!! They didn't wake me as they said I'm like a scalded cat when woken up. Indeed. As if! Next year I'm going to put something in their drinks. See how they like missing the dawn of the New Year!

At least they covered me with a heated throw so I woke up nice and warm at three a.m.

About that cat thing, well maybe I'll say nothing at all to them. I hate when they all agree.

Hi Ruby, I was half way through a bottle of Southern Comfort and enjoying Jooles Hollands Hootenanny. My local pub had decided to charge everyone £25.00 entry fee so that made my mind up to stay in and chillax in front of the TV.

Watching the fireworks on tv

Well for the first time in my adult life I decided that I would spend it on my own due to not being so well and not wanting to spoil the fun,much to the annoyance of my friends and family,but I thought what the hell I can watch the new queen band bring in the year on BBC England And still watch BBC Scotland to get Auld lang syne where I know I will be in tears but happy tears and what did I get?The Hammer came down and next thing the fireworks started and until they finished I then heard a shallow rendition of the beautiful song,so was quite annoyed at that, in fact I started thinking what a tremendous waste of money for the fireworks when there is so many families out there trying to make ends meet,so after telling everyone not to phone me until after auld lang syne finished Which they all did so was still sitting here at 1.30 before going to bed and listening to the fireworks for the next 2 hrs so I thought I would wake up in a ass of a mood ,But no I didn't ,I have decided that for the last year I have been letting my life go down hill and didn't put on the brakes sitting here watching telly instead of getting my ass into gear. And as all of you cheer me up so very much and your banter and humour put me to shame I actually feel blessed that even though you don't know me I am pleased that I have found you all,so I wish you all a great new year and Thank each and every one of you for being there xxxxx
