Has anyone bought the aero sure medic which is supposed to do wonders for your breathing. They usually sell for £179 but have seen them on sale for £149. They are quite pricey but if they work will be worth it.x

" Hello Gatesheadlass. yes I have heard of the Aero Sure Medic.. and a friend of mine recommended it to me, She as just bought one and is trying it but, as yet I haven't bought it as think I will see how my friend gets on with it first, and as you say it is a bit pricey. this is the one my friend as bought..
" Hello again... I have been using this ULTRABREATH for a few months now and find this helps a lot with my breathing, and it also helps to loosen the mucus. so I am sending you the link to it plus for the prince it really is a good buy. I defiantly recommend you try it first before you buy the Aero Sure Medic. Good luck to you..Megan."
Very mixed reviews on Amazon ranging from brilliant to rubbish and rip-off. Might be worth asking professional advice before shelling out a shed load of money, but that's probably because I'm tight with my hard-earned and question why it's not available on NHS if it's as good as the ads claim.
Yee Warickstag how I agree with you. I won't be trying it. This year as been my worse year by far. My breathing as got worse and worse until in this last few weeks I have collapsed. After recovering I found a real error was made. I am not allowed powder inhalers due to my breathing not being strong enough to get the dose past my throat. So it doesn't get down to the airways where it was desperately needed. Last year there was a scare rumour which lead to the removal of my fine mist inhaler off the market. Unknown to me till I recovered from my latest episode. Yes the inhaler my medics supplied me with was infact a powder inhaler. Hence my airways have had no support to keep open so no wonder I couldn't breath. So maybe I will give these private Company supplied gadgets alone. Nope not about to put people off however I will say please take care and make sure you research before relying on them. Bless x
I asked advice about this from my consultant as I thought it may help me. He said that I must not consider using this as my lungs are too damaged & I would likely do more harm than good. Please seek advice 1st.
I thought the same way as you - and I bought one! It was as useful as a chocolate teapot!!!! I bought it for £145.00 and sold it again a few weeks later. Don't waste your money, it's just another glorified flutter device and there are much, much cheaper ones around. Good luck. X
you can get a "powerbreathe medic" lung exerciser and an "acapella mucus clearing device" (like flutter but easier to use) on NHS Prescription. I know this because I have recently obtained them myself.
Hope the info helps and saves some money for people.
Carole
Thank you all for your advice. I must admit their claims seem too good to be true and probably are. I bought a PowerBreathe device from Amazon for about £12 and didn't find it much help. I think sometimes I chase the impossible dream to regain my former lung function after 50 years of nicotine abuse but like most of us poor breathers would try anything it it helped. I did a PR course in the summer and I found the exercises and advice on breathing techniques invaluable.
