I bought one years ago, just found it again so I'll start using it today, I'll try anything. Chris x

you can get powerbreathe medic on nhs prescription. I did that recently, and just waiting to find out how effective it is when infection clears and can use it.

Hi Ruby, As I mentioned a short while back I have in the past used Power Breathe. I have recently started to use it again. My routine is 30 inhalations. @ level 4. After my first attempt my Peak Flow was 365. I'll update my figures after the holidays as I think it needs time to have a real affect. Cheers.

After seeing breathe easy mentioned some time ago, I asked a respiratory nurse about them and she said it couldn't do any harm. But when doing a PR Course another respiratory nurse said they were useful unless you had emphysema when they definitely should not be used - at which point I stopped using mine. I still need to check this out again and will probably do so with the BLF. But maybe emphysema sufferers need to be aware of this discrepancy.
