I have just been reading about this magical machine and even though it's way out of my price range i have to admit I'm curious. Joanelwine can you tell me a little more about your experiences with it?

I wondered if BLF have any comments on the subject, possibly this isn't the place to ask that. I am in the latter stage of COPD with oxygen 16+ hours per day, this includes at night when I sleep but I'm obviously breathing the air around me as well so I do wonder whether that would lessen it's efficacy. I am interested also because my partner snores and gasps at night so it might be helpful for him too (and therefore making my nights a little quieter). There are going to be no miracle cures for me, I appreciate that, but as anyone with breathing difficulties will attest, comfort is everything and even small changes can sometimes produce significant benefits whether it's a different kind of exercise, a new activity or a change of meds. My mind is so open these days I need to wear a vest to think!

Hi, I haven't tried SOE but I have Sleep apnoea. I suggest tgat your parrner needs to check out his snoring and noisy night time breathing as this might help you and him. Obstructive Sleep apnoea syndrome is really serious andcis under diagnosed. Good luck xx

I will update in a another. Week or so. I would. If. Even slight improvement thenits worth it i read. Medical studies review and they. Over. 2/3. Good Improvements a 5th. Slight improvement. 2 %. No. change. So. On. Paper it looks good. It is dear. But. How can you put price on your health if it. Works and changes. My life it would be worth that. times a million. So far. I am. Really happy even if it just. Helps me sleep better and. The slight breathing improvement. Bye. Paul

Thanks for the reply Paul, you are correct of course, can't put a price on health and if something can make a real difference I can start saving! I'm looking forward to hearing about how you get on with it given some more time. I attend a day patient unit every Friday and I will be telling the staff about it, see if they can get any information but often with things like this that spread by word of mouth the doctors are last to know!
