Bronchiectasis and MAC disease

Hello everyone, I was diagnosed over a year ago and was never told about the pain that would be expected. That was a huge aggravation learning which pains I would have to learn to live with. I have been on treatment over a year now. I have many nodules and infection. They told me after looking at my scan that I am stable. What does That mean? Should it not be going away? Can anyone help me with this?

Bronchiectasis does not go away. You need to be proactive clearing your chest to prevent infection. Think you really need advice from your respiratory team. M x

I also have many nodules that come with it. The reason for the question is I have been on meds for over a year and I am only stable. Does this mean I won't be able to get rid of it? The mycobacteria a I'm intracellular. ?

Sounds like you need the advice of a specialist physio. It doesn't ever go away but it can be managed with help and advice. Sorry, don't know what MAC is. It seems that the average GP surgery doesn't know too much about Bronchiectasis. You may need a good chat with a specialist. It's very different from COPD.
