The skin on my shins is now so thin I can see every vein, does anyone know of any way to stimulate regrowth of skin cells?

Thin skin
Firstly try aquas cream E45 or similar to hydrate it and a light rub to stimulate the skin and legs. My veins have shown on my skin forever.
Be Well
mine is really bad, thanks to a lifetime on steroids. M x
So sorry I cant help you - but my husband is in the same boat xxx
I have always understood this is because of steroids, both my shins and forearms are really bad only have to slightly bang either to get a nasty bruise which is why I worry about taking steroids - if this is on the surface what are they doing to our insides? I am assured by my specialist that this is the only way to go.
When I think back my shins have always been 'shiny' I suppose I have had this problem for a long time. I take seretide, but only when I absolutely need it as I am also really paranoid about steroids.
Glad I'm not the only one paranoid about steroids! I take Spireva. Symbicort and also have just been put on Oxis - which is so far proving really good in helping my breathing.
By the way I see you are in W.A. My youngest grandson is working there at the moment in Salmon Gums! I am learning what a vast country it is via his e mails. and how friendly everyone is to him.
Take care.
Here is a tip I found and it works for me.
Buy some Pure Mustard Oil, warm some in a dish then rub it on the legs in an upward movement, after the second time of doing this, hey presto the veins have gone, deeper ones are reduced.
I got in on line, sorry I cannot remember the company, which is good really as I have had it for 1year and not run out yet.
If I have been on my feet a lot the veins will show, just repeat the massage.
Hope this helps.x
Well, I'm taking Manuka Honey for the sole purpose that it stimulates cell regrowth.
Apparently in New Zealand, where this particular plant comes from, the cardiac surgeons put strips of lint soaked in Manuka Honey around the heart after doing transplants etc in order to help the cells regenerate faster.
I'm taking it to help the regrowth of damaged cells in my lungs. Maybe it will help rejuvenate the thin skin on your legs - and mine too
I buy my Manuka Honey from a health shop in our village. I think you can buy it online but do make sure it's the real stuff and not a copy.
Hope this helps. I agree about the E45 lotion too, it's good stuff.
Thanks for all your replies, I too only have to look angrily at myself and I break out in bruises, no shorts for me for a while LOL, ah well we must battle on, just get very frustrated at the amount of side effects this blooming disease throws at you. xx
