Pete and his heart probs

sassy59 profile image
30 Replies

Pete went to see the cardiologist today and it seems as if he does have sarcoidosis in the heart and also some other blockages which will need stenting. He is due to have an angiogram soon so hopefully all will go well. No word yet on his back being sorted out so will have to start pushing for that very soon. Just wanted to let everyone know how things are. Hope you all stay as well as you can as it is getting colder now. Love to all, xxx

I am sure the angio will go fine. The docs that have done mine have been better than sweeps up a chimney. Hope the stent go well once they give then the go. Rib

it's amazing how a stent can improve your well being. I had one put in about 3 years ago and have had no problems since. It must be one of the easiest ops going. You can watch them doing it to you on the monitor ! :)

Yes Puff, Pete did that in 2007 when he had a heart attack and had 3 stents fitted. I am sure he will be fine. Hope you are well. xxx

Give Pete all the best on the angiogram they will see loads when they do it. I had mine many years ago and found it all fascinating watching their monitor when they injected the trace and you see the heart pumping away and all the vessels. Sometimes they do any stent work while they are there.

If Pete has a mussel allergy might be worth a mention as they are high in Iodine and the trace is Iodine based. It is very rare but the angiogram is how I found out I was allergic to iodine.

Be Well
