Wel what a Saturday that was. Had a phone call from my daughter to tell me my son has had a car accident, he was alright but car was a write off. Went to my chest appointment. The consultant showed me the scan and there was spots all across the bottom of it . This was the scan I had for my neck. I was also shown the exray that I had the other week that my GP sent me for to save time, which didn't show anything. I am now to have a scan on my chest and a breathing test. The latter because I mentioned to him that I do get short of breath when I try to do small tasks such as peeling potatoes. He will send me an appointment through the post when these two things have been done. Approx 3 mths. I arrived home to find both my daughters there waiting for me to go to the hospital to see how my son was. The only trouble was he was not at The Leicester Royal, which is where we thought he was, he was at Coventry. They took him the to the traum a centre there. Well after waiting a short time we all came home he had not a scratch on him he had a slight knock to his head , he had scan on hit chest and an exray on his right hand, but they were all clear. He had swerved to miss a Tesco delivery lorry that pulled out on him and he skidded on the wet road. He missed the lorry and hit a lamp post. The car was wrapped round it. He went work on the Sunday just a bit sore, more from the sights where the hospital tried to put a cannula in him incase he needed any drugs. His veins kept collapsin his left arm looked a mess.
sorry for the long post . Hope you are alright and not suffering to much.

It is a good thing that the Consultant is taking your shortness of breathe seriously. You should know a lot more by the time you go to your next hospital appointment. There is nothing like knowing the facts to put your mind at rest. Sorry to hear your son had a car accident. It must have been a shock for you. I'm pleased to hear that he is on the mend. Have a good day.
Hi chris, wow that is some frightening news so glad alls ok, the car is replaceable and glad u son is ok with only minor injuries, good ur bring sorted too, let us know how ur tests go. Take care x Sonia x
Thanks that's just how I feel about my son. Will let you know ow what happens when it does , don't know how long it will be for scan. Sending hugs to all.
Hi there, funnily enough my son has also written his car off recently, but I said the same thing, a car can be replaced....he was unhurt, and his dogs unhurt, also the woman in the other car, who was speeding, was unhurt. So I have a lot to be thankful for......regarding your shortage of breath, hopefully they will get to the bottom of the problem. More research needs to go into the lungs, I have fibrosis and I had to find out myself how serious it is. Good luck with yours.
Thanks, it was just the lamppost and hiscar that was damaged. The council were there before the ambulance, which made me laugh even tho its not funny.
Glad your son and dogs were unhurt. What breed of dogs has he got. My daughter breeds Labradors, I have two and my son has one also
As for my chest I forget about it and carry on the best I can lol. I await the scan and breathing test appointment. . I don't hold my breath lol, I don't think I will get one before Christmas.
