Yep I've been over to see Dad and step mum again and I was armed and dangerous with my video camera.

It rained heavy all afternoon so I had to miss out on my usual walk but there was entertainment just outside the kitchen window.

I just had a big grin on my face watching - there was six of the little chaps at one time having a bath and the pheasant just took no notice of anything but eating - just wonderful :) and thank you

Yes, the common sparrow can be quite entertaining when called upon for a starring roll in a dall video. The pheasant called the Cardinal by my step mother was there just to add a little colour on a very bleak and grey day, I think he succeeded yeh'

Thanks eye's, I find wildlife can be quite entertaining so try to keep a camera nearby at all times just in case something worth capturing comes along. Those sparrows were definitely worth a post for other like minded people to see, they seemed to be enjoying bath time in the rain didn't they. :) .

Sounds great Wendells I'll look out for that, from memory of your last pic of the lorikeets their a little more colourful than our sparrows. Minor birds are the ones we used to see in cages over here and could be trained to talk, they were very similar to blackbirds but you don't see them any more. Their better off in the wild than kept in small cages in the home arn't they.

That brought a smile to my face - thank you xx

It made me smile too, just love watching birds taking a bath, they seem to get soaked but never look wet,Lol their feathers certainly do their job, and the Pheasant is so beautiful,I have an ornament the exact copy of the pheasant in the video.

Lovely Tony and who needs t.v. when you can watch something like that. xxxx

Just shows sparrows are just as happy with an upturned dustbin lid as with the expensive designer garden furnishings; I love the "clatter" pheasants make when they take off - unique sound and can be quite startling if you're walking the woods alone.

I could sit and watch birds all day I find them very relaxing who does the pheasant belong to they are Georgas when they spread the tail feathers.

Loved the sparrows ! Such joy in being alive. The pheasant is great too.
