First Defence

Thank you to everyone who has posted about First Defence. I bought some several months ago in preparation. Friday felt a sore throat , head ache and stuffed nose. Started straight away and it eased. By Sat. morning worse so increased drops and used all day Sat. and Sun. Now Mon. and completely clear. Very grateful for all your advice Barnowl

I learned about it on here and I have two - one by my bed and one I keep with me all the time I have started to use it this week as, like you, I was feeling headachy and stuffed nose, etc...so far I am OK. I also use it just before I go out, especially when I am off to the surgery! Better safe than sorry. Stay well

I have just ordered the stuff. I have some Softalind 500 mg. This is the big green bottle that is used in hospital. This is alcohol and it's also a n antifungal. I thoguht it was expensive (around £5) but those little hand gels are more expensive! Ah well if they do the trick, so be it.

would someone please explain to me what this First Defense is?? and will I be able to buy it here in Australia?? thanks roo-roo

Hi roo roo, Vicks First Defence is manufactured by Proctor and Gamble. It is sold in chemists here in England. It is a nasal spray to be used at the first sign of a cold such as sneezing, sore throat, blocked nose. You spray 2or3 times into each nostril up to 4 times a day. Sorry but I don't know if it is available in Australia. Hope this helps barnowl
