Here is a view of part of the marina in Port Bannatyne on the Isle of Bute. I'd love to pinch one of the yachts. LOL

OK Suzy, you can be deckhand. I don't know what we will do about cooking though. Somebody will be able to do it. I think I will be the self appointed co-ordinator. LOL

Hi rocket,

My sentiments exactly. LOL Do you sail? We could get a whole gang of us to commandeer (pirate!) one of them. LOL Glad you like the pic.

hugs from Huggs xx

we could do a bonny and Clyde on one or second thoughts we could do a trip AKA One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest

Well ant, Puff has just revealed he has a boat, so he could bring you all up here, and then take over the marina. ha ha

in reply tohuggs

I would imagine you are a bit too far away from me unless he could down the coast to where I live

huggs profile image
huggs in reply to

Puff will be up for that ant, as he will need practice. LOL

hugs from Huggs xxx

sorry for volunteering you Puff!

in reply tohuggs

hope he is a good helms man where I live on the coast it had the notoriety of being the shipwreck capital of the Irish sea in days gone by.

huggs profile image
huggs in reply to

Oh dear, that doesn't sound too encouraging. You will maybe have to get someone to take you to a more suitable port. Where do you live again?

It'll have the makings of a good farcical comedy if we all manage to get together. LOL

yes it is a beautiful place to live the air is so pure and silly me I forgot about all those beautiful Yacht's on the Mere I am going to Lakeside community center next week to start my PR some one where I live set the toaster on fire last night but after some venting of the corridors and me standing outside for an hour saved me from having to attend A&E these oxiometer;s are the bees knees as they let you know what is going on immediately Just toying with the idea of having a yacht race round the Mere????

huggs profile image
huggs in reply to

Hi ant, that must have been a worry for a while, but as you say these oxyometers are great.

Go for the yacht race, and I will watch for you on the telly getting rescued or arrested. LOL

in reply tohuggs

know our constabulary probably arrested when I first got my mobility scooter I got a producer and a warning I faced a possible fine the crime if you can call it that was that I did not have my number plate on my scooter and I was not displaying my zero rated free road tax should I say he was not even a proper policeman but one of these community support officers

Right Sonia, but remember Wendells is in Austrailia, so she will need plenty of warning, and she has volunteered to do the cooking, so she is needed, and it wouldn't be the same without her anyway. I wonder is she has a passport? lol

hhummph oh well then smartie pants, why don't you just grab a few of the folks who have been following my pics, and sail here with them. We can have a good old shindig, and there is space for you in the marina. Is it a yacht or boat you have Puff?

It's a boat. An Eastwood 24. Needs tidying.

I was lucky. I thought it would be nice to take my daughters and son on the Broads when they visit but hire boats are over £1000 per week so i thought I'd try and save and buy a boat. I only work part time so thought it would take ages to get enough together. I saw a Birchwood 22 for sale for £4,700. During the next 8 months the price kept dropping and in the end I got it for £1400 !! Then I saw the Eastwood on Ebay and as it was local I cheekily wanted to have a nose around to get ideas for the Birchwood. The lady said I could have it for £3000 so I borrowed the money off one of my daughters and said I'd pay any difference off when I sold the Birchwood. In the end I sold the Birchwood for £3000 !!

:)

Thanks. I'll get it tidied up then perhaps some of you may like to take a break and spend a few days on the Broads. :)

huggs profile image
huggs in reply toPuffthemagicdragon

That sounds fantastic, and thank you. Don't know if I'd be able this year, and you will have your family to take around. If only, or you could come up here, and Wendells is coming form Oz, and everyone else from all over. Wouldn't it be great if some day some of us could all get together for a few days somewhere?

huggs in reply toPuffthemagicdragon

Yea, it would be good. The only problem would be mobility and things. Maybe next year in early summer or Easter. Lets keep it mind anyhow.

hugs from Huggs xxx

well in Southport we are lucky just a bit further inland is the Leeds Liverpool canal and they have a huge marina

not sure who started this blog of but it is just as good as Photo Sunday was and it seems to be turning into the that film "One flew over the cuckoos nest"

huggs profile image
huggs in reply to

Was it me with the photo of the marina, or was it the person who responded first. It has taken a life of its own somehow. LOL

Yea, the lunatics taking over the asylum you mean, or am I getting mixed up. I mean no offence when I say that, it is just because it is the words linked to a film.

hugs from Huggs xxxx

in reply tohuggs

yes it was when the lunatics took over the asylum with Jack Nicholson as the patient who ended up having a lobotomy and his Indian friend doing the right thing by him I just loved that music when big chief sh***** bull threw that thing through the window and escaped, think we had better watch out if we are planning a similar day out fishing they all ended up getting ECT in the end and as for nurse Rachet she had a figure and hair do to die for LOL. When doing that film the actors did not know in the end when filming was taking place or not, the scene was a real hospital and the doctors were the actual doctors who worked at the hospital still have the movie on tape and bluray disc I prefer the bluray as it tells you a lot about making the movie the characters in it even down to the attendants who were from the asylum as well.
