Is it me or are wee been forced into ads?

Last night if I clicked reply it went to another page with an ad and certain words were made into links to shopping.com. I did a virus scan but that found nothing?

I just repaired a laptop that was doing something similar, it was malware. It had changed the internet home page to searchnu. It had attached itself after the person had download free software in this case livid.

I am normally very secure minded on what ot where i look or DL from, but not sure how this has got in behind my security? My son did use it the other day though MMMmmm!

Malaware by the sound of it,I downloaded malwarebytes from file hippo, its keeps the aliens away.......

Thanks for that porche, I think one of my PCs might have some malaware on it. I've just downloaded malwarebytes and am running it now.

It found over 160 issues and I'm only using the free version!!

I always download from file hippo, never have any problems!! I also use ccleaner,which I find excellent for cleaning up and getting rid of all the rubbish that slows down lappy..Take care Laura x

yep got it and malware found 43 files which were 2 programs one I thought I removed but must of missed one of the registry threads

I haven't seen any Offcut. Heaven forbid it gets like FB. Google something then these adds keep appearing. Yes I bought my shoes thank you no I don't want more take them off.

hi offcut,, i cant say i have seen any ads,on the new site, [but these pesky ads. seem to appear everywhere now, the t,v would drive you mad with the same repeated ads],,, but i have to say, i still preferred the old site to the new one
