Hi wraygirl,

Off course you can be part of our group. Everyone is made very welcome here, so a big welcome to you!! There are lots of Americans who are members of this site, and will no doubt be making contact with you.

We all try our best to help each other here, and give support when necessary. This forum is open 24 hours a day, so you can come on at any time and no doubt someone will be around to answer your questions, or for you to join in and respond to someone else.

You will gradually get to know us, and can make up your own mind how sane we are! LOL. As you can see, on this page there are lots of different categories to wander around. I look forward to getting to know you, and you will learn to navigate the site in no time. Even I did, and I am not techy at all. I have only been here for around 6 months, although I did not start using immediately, but have learned more here than from any doctor. There is also a BLF helpline which opens at 10a.m. should you require any help from respiratory nurses. You will need to work out the time difference yourself! They are a mine of information, and can help you with most things.

I am one of the wafflers of the group, but there are a few of us! hee hee hee.

Enjoy your time with us, and just have a wander about the site, and you will learn lots.

Lots of hugs from Huggs xx

Glad you found the site. I am new to it myself but am feeling more at home each time I see the messages ...... and I am afraid I will probably end up being thought of as a waffler ...can't seem to not comment when I read the messages.....ah well, that's me. :) What part of the States are you in????? I am a Londoner, but have now lived in North Norfolk for many years, which is in the East of England....I also spent 14 years in your country (that's another story, but which probably won't ever be talked about on this site :) - got nothing to do with my lungs :) You didn't mention your diagnosis - whatever it is, I hope you are feeling well today :)

Hello and welcome hi wraygirl79. Anyone is welcome here from anywhere. :)

Hello! A huge welcome to you! :D So glad you found this site. I've only been on this site for a few weeks so probably can't offer much help with a lot of things. :P But there are so many wonderful, friendly and welcoming people on here who have a lot more experience than me! - They have already been such a help to me & I've learnt a lot just in my short time here. :) Enjoy!!

Hi I am a American from Minnesota and have been here for about 6 months, up to just recently have been monitoring and learning about this illness so I know what is coming down the road. People from all over the world are on this site all striving for pretty much the same goals. so it is really a good place to visit and learn how to live the best life possible.

Ditto for me. I am just glad I started recently to receive it. I gather illness doesn't have national boundaries. If one can get & offer help why not?

Hi welcome, I am very new to this site myself thoughI live in the UK. I only stated using this sort of forum having stumbled upon an American site and picked upon the information and good will it offered. People on that site always encouraged each other never to accept anything less than the best from their pulmo's ( their name for consultants) and they were right. Their information encourage me to get a second opinion, best thing I ever did, I am now with a IPF specialist team working with people who listern to what I have to say and show respect in every thing they do. I hope we can return the favere. All the best .

Hi!

I'm also from USA and YES, this is a great site. I stumbled upon it too while researching both COPD and multiple lung nodules. I'm looking for ways to gain breathing power. Had a "mini-maze" heart surgery a year ago that went terribly wrong.

Happy to be "on board"!

I am also from the US and get lots if real life down to earth answers to my Breathing Journey. This is the best source I have found for mixing with others going through the same thing. Hope you find lots of friends with help for you as well. It is Hot in North Carolina today. bad breathing day. Take care and stay well.
