Sorry if I haven't responded for a while, but I have been in hospital as I went to doctors due to swollen feet and stomach,it got so bad i couldn;t breathe..Dr rushed me to hospital..I had ct scan which showed a swelling on my left kidney and to top it all gall stones..corpulmonale was the final diagnosis, right sided heart failure. .No wonder I felt ill .Oh well some other ailment to add on lol.yay .I have had a letter from Royal Brompon to say I will be having an op but no date as yet!! I was in for over a week, and because of the high dose of Morphine I had to have an enema, I can hear you all laughing, not funny at all..Hope every one has been as well as can be expected..xxx

OMG I read the other post first and glibly hoped you were feeling better!! You have been really ill and I have been wondering how you were. Gall stones - nasty, and the right sided heart failure - you must have been so ill. Glad you have had a letter cant expect a date as well!!! Yes the enema did make me laugh - I do have a horrid sense of humour! Are you feeling a bit better? xxx

in reply to

Feeling a bit better Tad,but after bubble blowing, bed rolling ,huffing,I just want to sleep..lol When I wake I go through it all again..The right sided heart failure sounds worse than it is,as the g.p says its because my body is struggling to breathe and my heart is working harder to compensate..Enema not nice at all that scared me more than when they go in my artery for the gases..Just been told I will have the full rlvs and have to stay virus free...Hope your doing ok? Keep smiling! xxx

Your having such a terrible run of bad health Porche, as you say, no wonder you've been feeling so ill !!! The sooner you get your op the better. It's bound to help ease your suffering. Gall stones are agony I've been told. You must be tough lass to have coped with all this but at least they can start picking them off, one at a time. xx

in reply to casper99

I think they thought I was hyporchondriac with all these ailments, until my body blew up like the Michellin man lol.I am trying to stay strong and they say I am amazing for what I am going through, but alone I do have the odd tear and frustration, but there is always someone worse off ..xxxx

My doctor has wrote to them asking for me to be part of the trial for lung coils, not heard anything yet, but a friend of mine is going in 29th June for lung reduction. So I'm keeping everything crossed.

in reply to kimmy59

My specialist wrote regarding the coils for me,but they have decided to do a lung reduction..Can you please let me know how she gets on bless,as I am scared stiff..I have been told I have to be virus free for 3mths(I am just getting over a chest infection groan). How long did she have to wait?I hope all goes well for her, and you get a reply soon as they keep you waiting a long time before they reply!.Keep in touch and good luck..Laura xxxx

I don't know where my reply went. You'll be fine it's marvellous what they can do. I will keep you informed about my friend the she is a he actually. Have they not suggested Azithromycin as you get constant infection.

Porche, I am not laughing at all. Everything you have gone through sounds dreadful - even the enema, not nice!! I hope you get a date for your op soon and that you are well enough to have it when the time comes. xx

in reply to

Poor love - you have had and sound as if you are still having a rough time. No I didn't laugh - been there. Are they going to remove your gall stones? Hope things improve for you soon. cx

in reply to cofdrop-UK

No mention of the gall stones, They gave me laprazole for indigestion and I try not to eat fatty things and stay with all the good foods..It helps a little..Renal specialist been in touch and will leave the cyst, pustle, lump whatever it is in the Kidney till I have my lung sorted..I just want to breathe its getting harder by the day..Keep well sweetheart and thanks for the kind words xxxx

in reply to cofdrop-UK

The consultant wasn't that interested in my Gall stones as much as my breathing,so I suppose that will come at a later date,With all the scars I am going to look like a road map and to think I got no stretch marks after having 3 kids lol...I saw quite a few on a the scan,no wonder I get indigestion.I was given lamprazole and Gaviscon for the time being for the indigestion..tut...

Dont know about lump in Kidney as yet,I expect they will give me an Aspirin and tell me help myself lol..

Hope your ok?Take care and hugs Laura x

Hi porche goodness me what a time of it youve had so sorry to hear . I do hope you dont have to hang about to long for your op.Enemas your right not nice,Ive only ever had the one of those and I remember it well, they used to automatically give them to you when you went into labour! whenI had my first baby and labour started ,worry and being terrified made me go so when I went to hospital and they said time for 'the enema' I tried to refuse informing that worry had had the desired affect ,alas they insisted I spent the next while very embarrassed at the sound effects only, they laughed acknowledging i was right!!! :D Hope your feeling better at the mo take care now :) Janexx

It was visiting time when I had my Enema, they drew curtains around and my tummy was making all these weird noises. Everyone was laughing.and as made a few friends there I had some stick believe me lol..Next thing they brought a commode, and I was adamant I am not using a commode on ward with curtains closed and full of visitors..They wheeled me to the loo on the commode like a wheelchair armed with all my smellies lol.Never again!!!!

They said its the Morphine that constipates you, so I have all the works now laxatives, laxido armed ready for my next stay in hospital..Hope your enjoying the weather? Thanks Jane for making me smile..lots of love Laura xxx

I had gallstones years ago and took Potters Herbal remedy for couple of months ... still went ahead with the op and confused consultant came to tell me that 5 of the 6 big stones had dissolved and the last was very small ... gave me as souvenir ! unheard of them just going ! so google and make enquiries .... truly does the trick.

Is the operation for heart ? all best xxx

in reply to

Wow I will ask my nurse can I try the herbal remedy..Thanks..I am having a lung reduction op ,in the near future. The heart failure where I swelled up was because my heart was working overtime due to breathlessness..I am now on Spirondlactone to take alongside furosimide to keep the fluid off my feet and tum..I was like I was 9mths pregnant, they callled it Achillies or something..I couldn't fit into any of my clothes it was horrible...Take care xxxxx

in reply to

The lung op sounds great for you. I get very swollen feet and take furosimide ...seems I may need the other one too then ! my consultant said it's heart failure recently....urgh !!! glad you getting help after going through tough stuff xxx

in reply to

You seem to be like me Julie,The heart has to work harder to pump the blood around..One good thing my heart is strong! If you are getting more fluid and furosimide not working as good, mention Spirondlactonet to your g.p..It has worked and at least a cpl of litres has been weed away lol..

You are having it hard too Julie,Its like all different stages, things keep happening..My arms are bruising badly from the steroids over the years, and my skin with this sun tan makes me looks like a leather handbag ...xxxx

Ha..from one rather crumpled leather bag to another ... long sleeves needed for me so not to scare folk! Starting to surprise myself in mirror. The age shrinking and steroids with muscle loss a bad combo! Ah well still can just about get to bottom of garden for bbq in a mo..not sure how long to get back up tho!:) xxx

in reply to

Julie you look very familiar,I was wondering where you live..?There again we all have a double somewhere and my other had the better life lol xxxx

in reply to

Lived in Lancashire Scotland London now Wales. My sister used to be mistaken for me and got hearty congrats on birth of my son ! X

in reply to

I am welsh, originally from Caerphilly.I now reside in Taunton Somerset..What part of Wales?

Haha she was well pleased I bet! x

in reply to

North east Wales... lovely and peaceful after London ...guess Taunton better for breathing than wet Wales. Would love to live in cornwall near sea. Maybe next home? Have good day. X

in reply to

Somerset beautiful and the air fresh .I came here 15yrs ago and was asked by a specialist which pit I worked down lol..I live at the foot of the Quantock hills, really lovely, pity I can't walk them any more though....x

in reply to

Me too. Look at lovely hills here. Still..so lucky to be living in such lovely place:) whatever life we have ...its great eh!:) x

in reply to

Love the country air,I am beginning to get claustrophobic even in the shower lol! We are the lucky ones!!

Enjoy the weather, heard there is a shower on the way to clear the air. :-) mxxx

I had two elasticated bandages to put on my arms to stop knocking them.Ha quite a look from postman, as he must of thought I had had enough I contemplated suicide..Bless him when I explained..Steroids have made my skin so thin on one arm its like tissue paper..

Have a nice evening, save me a sausage lol xx

Morning.

Yeah I will keep you posted, it's actually a he. You'll be fine, it's fantastic what they can do. Have they never discussed putting you on Azithromycin, if you get constant infections.

Kim xxxx

in reply to kimmy59

I will have to look into it Kimmy thanks! I am prone to infections, due to the high dose of steroids I am on,but if I wean down a bit off the steroids , my breathing goes down. Its a catch 22 situation...Thanks for advice I will ask my nurse about them...Laura xxxxx
