Hi Wingnut I had a Bolectomy 9 years ago this year and had 50% removed not a problem, had procedure done at Guys Hospital fantastic surgeon (Loic Lang-Lozdunski) and staff.

Hi 39 years ago my surgeon at the time Mr Moghissi (sorry, don't know how to spell name) advised me to have lower lobe surgically removed but at the time I had 2 small children and no child care other than me so I refused. The specialist I last saw said they don't do it any more. All I've been able to do is cough up the muck that gathers in my lungs the best I can. The air sacks in both my lungs have merged so phlegm just fills up the space. Is Bolectomy the same thing? Sorry, I'm so long winded. I always seem to be when I'm trying to explain.
