Mail on Sunday has advert for AEROSURE MEDIC+ have any of you tried one as it sounds just what I need but would like to know more first.
HI trownail. When I tried the Mail on Sunday link it didn't work. So I looked it up on Boots and Amazon. It certainly sounds good from the limited amount of information I read. However, it is very pricey,(Boots is £179 and Amazon is (£159 with free postage.) I don't know how much it was in Mail on Sunday, but if I were you I would contact the BLF helpline and get their advice on this. They will tell you straight if it does what it claims to do, or if there is a cheaper alternative. For me, its too much money to spend without getting medical advice about it. Hi trownail, just had a look on the internet and it seems to to be too much for what it does. I have used the "acapella choice" for quite a while now, to move mucus, and I would not be without it. I can't remember the exact price but it was about GBP 50. You can see it at this site. Exercise is the key to better breathing.

I noticed this a few months back and asked my respiratory nurse about it,she said don't waste you're money.!
How much is it and where to get one please?
That nurse does not have copd so obvious she has not tried it!,!!!
Perhaps not Colours but these respiritory nurses see dozens of patients who try all sorts of things. I'm sure she would have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't.

The nurses at my docs are not trained in copd,that's probably why I felt that,also very restricted,the hospital that gives me things,docs are not interested....save money!!! They offer oral steroids ,that's it!I was told and a inhaler that I am allergic to,so that was why I had to go down so low and taken to hospital,as docs had nothing to do with me as I turned their medicine down,but hospital gave me inhaler that supports my life,they saved me,they want me to be well,and very helpful and trained.
My respiratory nurse is fully trained in all respiratory issues.she see patients on a daily basis with all kinds of breathing problems,I'm certain she's come across this with other patients.so when she says to me don't waste you're money,that's good enough for me

I agree with the others. If you google it colours you will see the price of it. It's your money, if you want to get one, do. x

The consensus was to try something from the same company which is loads cheaper & approved by NHS.
I have asked advice about these before. If they worked then there would be no need for most of the meds docs prescribe and the NHS would be better off, but sadly they don't. A lot of money but if you feel it may help try it. Personally I wouldn't touch it.
Don't forget the pharmaceutical company's are worth millions, that's half the problem,that's why I am careful what the motives are for certain meds,and also over medicating. We have to have a balance and be well informed with updates. And not be restricted in anyway.
When I first saw the TV advert I was absolutely furious.
The breathless woman was virtually saying "buy one of these as the answer to your problems" not "GO TO YOUR DOCTOR and get a proper diagnosis" ... grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Who would be that breathless and not seek medical attention???
