Thanks for that, my peak flow reading is 350 is that good ?

Is that good,? if it was mine it would be brilliant but I am 77. A peak flow reading I believe needs your height, weight and age etc .to calculate your ideal.

Well done Aggi.... Lots of people say they feel bad after stopping , but believe me you WILL be healthier for not smoking

I like Grandbrian would be over the moon to have a peak flow of 350....Don't think mine has been that good for YEARS...

350 not too bad at all. You may be feeling more breathless due to the recent pollutants coming down and will improve when it's all shifted.

Hope you feel better very soon, if not please have a check up with your doctor or respiratory nurse to ensure you haven't got an infection.

Very well done for packing in the smoking. 350 quite good but a lot depends on your age. I am around that but am 60.

Thanks everyone I will check out the 350 as I am 57 but do loads of exercise though seem to be out of breath during most of it.

Well done stopping. I have to admit I was never so ill in my life as I was in the first six months after stopping. I did stop coughing but had flu-like symptoms, head colds and a continual feeling of general debility. Make no mistake it was worth it but I wish the lady had told me what to expect.

Your body has to make a lot of changes when you stop smoking, some say it takes 3 years to get the full benefit. Not sure about that but you will feel better as time goes on stick with it,I,m really glad I stopped.Good Luck!

Im so glad to hear this. I was just diagnosed with copd in february and havent smoked in 4 weeks. Ever since I quit smoking I feel more breathless and use the rescue inhaler way more each day and generally feel tired all the time now. Ni was starting to think quitting didnt matter.

Hello all, I've just read this post and have to say I'm so very glad I stopped smoking two years ago. However, since then I've had one health issue after another. What doesn't help is that no one gives these issues a name!! And never before stopping smoking have I had to use a puffer?? and been so breathless?? Of course I will never smoke again and so grateful for this site, because this is where I get my answers/information from.

Nice to know you all, Mags
