Hi everyone, not been on for ages however I do pop in every week to catch up with Post's and Questions.
As you all know I was diagnosed nearly 4yrs ago now (by chance-how time passes), FEV1 of 79% in 2012 then FEV1 of 82% in 2013, classed as very mild-no meds required.
Bullous Emphysema, now the nurse thinks I could have been born with this, first they thought it was down to my 15 a day cig addiction for the past 24yrs, then they thought I was miss diagnosed then they thought it was down to a very bad flue and pneumonia from years ago.
Had all the Xray's and CT scan.
Ah well I am where I am, not had a fag since 11-3-2011, exercise every day, work full time and run about mad after 3 dogs two kids and the wife.
I am blessed to have been diagnosed at this early stage (we all have our crosses to bear), my work even sent me to a Professor for an assessment, I had a full MOT and the results were very encouraging, when I read how this COPD effect you wonderful people, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
You are going through so much, I am so blessed to have came across this site, the help and support I have had from you all including the BlF team is second to none, thank you all.
With all the new technology out there I just hope there is a break through very soon for COPD-Emphysema sufferers.
