Since being diagnosed first with COPD then Emphysema I have lost just over 2 stone. I would be grateful of any advice on regaining at least some of it back.

If you scroll down to 'I've lost weight' from the page link below, there is advice from BLF concerning this:

Hope this helps.
Evening.
I'm very small anyway but I lost a lot of weight when I had pneumonia, I've got a dietician now so plenty of full cream milk, cheese, veg, bananas and grapes and mixed nuts and porridge. Try and eat little and often I keep the fruit and nuts on my coffee table now so I pick. The secret ingredient is powered milk in everything you can put it in, and ask your G.P to prescribe Ensure drinks or something similar. I try to exercise a little every day which does improve your appetite.
Hope it helps

Snook not sure how I have done it but I have gained a stone in a year. Five small meals a day, porridge, ground flax seed, soya protein powder, egg, cheese. I make smoothies with fruit natural yogurt, soya milk. Snack on dried fruits and nuts. I have always eaten loads of vegetables.
I am under dietetian to try gain weight, even though I have Fortisips and Calagen supplements, eat porridge for breakfast and eat loads of calories..I still only weigh 42k ish.
My husband has been prescribed Fortisip drinks which you can get in different flavours. It gives you calories and vitamins. Try to drink it.
Last October I lost 5 kilos because of pneumonia and TB. i decided I would regain it. I buy 6 litres (about ten pints) of whole milk every week. I drink hot chocolate. The pulmonary nurses told me a little full cream dessert here and there, some rice pudding here and there.
In the morning, I have in my hot milk, cornflakes, raisins, cashew nuts (unsalted, full of fat and good protein) and a banana.
Turkey, amazingly, contains lots of protein, more than any other meat.. I eat a jacket potato (5 minutes in the microwave; then I out it in a foil seasoned with a tablespoon of olive oil and a bit of salt; 25 to 30 minutes in the conventional oven) + cabbage, (red or sauerkraut).
If you want to eat several meals in a day, prepare one big one and put it in sealed bags or sealed containers in the freezer.
don't forget the vitamin C and D. I take sunshine vit D by Health aid, as there isn't a ton of vitamin D which could be harmful. We need a little, but not a lot (25 microgram daily is %)) the recommended daily allowance). You can regain that weight!
Also, consider exercises which will make you feel hungry and will keep you fitter. Take yourself in hand, Best wishes!
