I would ring the BLF helpline tomorrow they will be able to answer your questions, as for the endoscopy I had one done I worried myself sick for weeks and it was fine and over in a matter of minutes.

I know it's easy said but please try not to worry stress just makes things worse.

I had mine done with a sedative, but I wanted to be put out. I think different hospitals use different methods, so I wouldn't worry.

Reflux can occur but its not something that everyone has, but it does need treating to avoid other problems arising.

I am wishing you good results from the endoscopy next week and hope it will help the doctors to know the right medicine to treat your symptoms.

Very best wishes BC

To avoid acid reflux tap water is very good

As far as coughing up blood doing a lot of coughing can do that its quite normal to cought up

streaks of blood esp if you have

Infection ..

Its when your coughing up teaspoons ... If you doc was worried he would not be doing a endoscopy or is it a bronchoscopy nor sure thay do endoscopy as that refers to your lower regions

Hope that helps and ya start feeling better

Hi there, just to let you know, endoscopy is tiny camera passed down your throat, oesophagus and into the stomach, colonoscopy is tiny camera inserted into rectum to examine colon and bowel, bronchoscope is tiny camera passed down throat and into lungs, don't worry about the procedure you are usually heavily sedated and know nothing about it!! Good luck with yours and best wishes for a favourable outcome xxxx
