Listening to the news, it doesn't sound at all good. Good wishes to all in affected areas. Wild here but not near the sea.
Take care everyone, and major sympathy for people in Ryl and other already flooded areas.
We live way below sea level where we are in Kent and our house flooded up to picture rail level in 1953 but so far we have not received any warning from Floodwatch. If we are awake we will have a look at the harbour at high tide - 2.30am.
Hope you're okay Stitch
Gosh I remember the flood in 1953 as my grandmother lived in Tilbury, Essex - stay safe
Stay safe one and all.
Our friend down the road has been evacuated and staying with mutual friends - it was a severe warning where she is, i.e. likely to flood. Turns out we are under a flood alert, which means a possibility of flooding - though still no email warning from Floodwatch which we are signed up to, but Canterbury City Council website puts us on alert - all a bit confusing. Don't like to tempt fate but thinking we will still be ok
Blackpool Promenade has flooded this afternoon - this is only the second time in 43 years I can remember this happening
It has eased off in Edinburgh.
We had a fatality with a lorry driver and a few trees and gardens blown around so I think we got off lightly compared to some other areas.
Thinking of moving to the north pole, must be warmer up there.
Tom.
Live in the midlands the wind broke one fence panel and one fence post.
