Scented candles ????????
Hi Nik37, yes, I think most of us are affected by things like candles, room sprays, burners, cleaners, etc. Best to avoid them if possible. Just another set of things to add to the list Nik. x
Thanks libby ive been avouding cleaning stuff but didnt even cross my mind with candles it makes everything clearer now xxx
Here's an older post with people saying what affects them and guess what, I'm on that one too! Lol! Libby x
They certainly can make you breathless Nik. My wife is the biggest candle lover in the world but I have had to ban them, they really got to me.
Bobby
We can't have them in our house they really affect my husband xx
Think I have to stop using them thanks
We never use them now,the same with aerosols and a lot of cleaning products.theres a lot of things we need to avoid now I'm afraid.maybe call the BLF tomorrow for some advise Nik.
Xx
I find the scented candles affect me very badly , also a lot of things in shops do , there are many shops i cant go into now .
YES, like breathing in poison!
Hi Nick37,
Not sure about the candles but those plug in air fresheners effect my breathing, and aerosols are a defiinate no no.
Thank u all I will be getting rid if all candles and air freshners today been realky poorly with my breathing as had infection added with candles ect ended up in hospital now I know why
I used to work nights in Tescos and certain aisles were off limits to me. Candles was number one....without them being lit. Air freshners were the next and on the shop floor of the bakery was also bad.....they might be browning the bread but the small particles of carbon in the air were bad....real bad.
so far i have been alright with scented candles, but i do have problems with the soap powder aisle in supermarkets i get through them as quick as i can marian xx
I found it isn't the scent but the quality of the oil/fat that they are made with.
Cheap tea lights being the worst culprit.
Beeswax - no issue!
I like yankee candles but the only two I can tolerate is fresh linin or baby pwder
I can't use anything that has a scent. It is good that you found a trigger though so you can stop using it
unfortunetly they can and also all the sprays ansd smells under the sink goggle alternative air freshners or what i do is feel up warm water in spray two drops of t tree oil nice air freshner and no probs for you like if u have good furniture that needs polish use little vaseline hope this helps
