In the "I" newspaper today...6th Sep 2013...a quote from BLF's Professor Hubbard "Although lung disease kills up to one in four people in the UK, it regrettably doesn't receive the same level of priority when it comes to prevention and treatment"
I know the BLF funds research, and Breathe Easy groups fund raise too, as well as bringing lung disease into the public awareness.
we are the forgotten epidemic/ shoved under the carpets
It could be that they associate lung disease with smoking so self inflicted
its not all smoke related ,people who have never smoked have copd, work places etc, some people have smoked for years and have nothing wrong with them,so copd is blamed on the smokers ,rubbish, this is a forgotten epidemic never broadcasted anywere really, just given inhalers and told get on with it,sickening it is,
