Not sure I understand, do you mean a breathe easy group? If so, BLf have lots of information on this, phone the helpline or the contact you saw today for an information pack on starting a group.

blf.org.uk/Page/Join-or-sta...

" New groups do best when:

◦ There are at least 6 people involved in getting going

◦ They have the support of local healthcare professionals

◦ They take time to plan an interesting programme focused on living with lung disease

To speak to someone about starting up a group, contact the Development Officer in your regional/national office.

"

Check out how other breathe easy groups are running, also for ideas on speakers, fund raising events etc.

Generally you have a committee, positions Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and other committee members. The group needs to support itself after the initial start up help from BLF (if its still available). Groups generally meet monthly, voluntary speakers, doctors, community matron, oxygen suppliers, mobility, age uk etc (organised by Secretary and Chairman) anything to help support lung patients and their carers, friends or family. Tea and coffee usually served with time for a chat. Package on how to run your group supplied by BLF, AGM's where the treasurer will give reports on expenditure and income etc. % of funds raised to go back toward BLF and to continue funding the group. Groups generally published their own newsletters which can be published on BLF's web.

Wishing your group every success.
