Hi KOTC,

I don't think you can see a full list, but if you press the Members button and search by name you can find anyone you're looking for.

Hi Richard

I think if you search for a name that is no longer active e.g. someone has left, or you misspell the name you get sent to 'Page not Found (404)' I don't know what page 104 is tho'

Should have been 404 Beth.I cannot remember3400 names and would like a list so that I can send a message to members to see how they are etc. As I say I have sent welcome messages to 60 newbies .

Thanks for asking this Richard. I used to do the same & send a msg to anyone I wanted to know wasn't forgotten.

I also liked the map for'members near you' . miss that. peeg

Hi KOTC,

That's a good question. Trouble is you can only search by name if you know what all the names are! :-p I did used to like just scrolling through all the members names and looking at their profiles to see if we had anything in common but it seems we can't do that anymore. Ah well, I suppose that's progress! :-)

4404 members who are they and where are they? I have sent welcome messages to 60 newbies but would like to contact some others

You've got a point king (apart from on your crown). I liked that you could find others with your diagnosis or diagnoses. I might be missing a trick (or manybrain cells) but have not discovered how to do that since the changes. Also don't know how to find those members who might live quite close to you. It would be good to find some people as no local breathe easy group etc. :-) :-) Alison

Yes thanks for raising that question, we do seem to have lost the Facility we had for finding all members and what area they were from since the changes. In fact new members are disappearing from the list quiet quickly too as many more join. Perhaps the site now has to be less personal in respect of information provided for others to see.

It seems to stick at the 60 newest members, which changes daily

I notice there is no feedback from BLF on this even if just to say you cannot see a list of members - strange x

Strange but true undine

Have you all updated your profiles? You can put a bit about yourself in there, including your condition, medications symptoms etc, and you can make it public or private.

Do you mean HealthUnlocked? I only want to contact people that I have known on this site

I have e-mailed Healthunlocked and asked them to consider re-introducing the indexed list of Members.

Thank you. Please let us know what the reply is if you get one mapal

Good Morning

Here is the BLF comment on this issue.

Healthunlocked are responsible for all the technical developments of this community - they set the priority for what changes happen and when.

To be honest I don't see the benefit of having a list of all members that can be seen by everyone - when someone joins they get a welcome email from the BLF. It's great that many members respond to new members by saying a quick hello - but new members should be left to choose how they want to contribute to this community and not have too "heavy" encouragement from existing members. Remember this is an online community - it is not the same as joining a group that meets face to face - people want their privacy etc (and not because they are out to cause trouble) - so please provide the support when it's asked for - but wait for people to reply - don't assume everyone wants the same level of contact and friendship.

Thanks

Mark

I did get a reply which thanked me for the feedback and stated that they were already considering this and my other suggestion that they issue some basic instructions for navigating the site for those that are perhaps not as computer literate as some. Presumably they will need to consider the views of other members and BLF before deciding what future enhancements are incorporated and when but if we don't make our views known no-one will even consider it. :-)

LOL sorry did not know your post was seriously about fats, thought it was about your mental health and how veg and fruit affect it. If I knew you expected a full list of my diet and all the foods I get my fats from then I'll get my nutritionist to forward my diet plan. You know I do eat a healthy diet and a bit more than tofu. What's weird is you changing my words and the context - Don't appreciate your teasing. I have enough problems without getting bullied by you.

Hi KOTC sorry for late reply been in Tenby for a week, lovely weather and fitted in a swift visit to my elderly frail mother. Thanks for info about the members list, we do really need a page like in the past so we know whose who and the region they come from. That's my opinion anyway. Hope you are well bye for now
