When and how do you know if it is not good for you?
I only started yesterday & from what I read on here I am lucky to be able to get it, I have gone from Moderate to Severe hence the change.
I'm not being defeatist (sp) just wondered.

It's a very similar type of medication, used in a similar way to serve a similar purpose - but the price isn't similar, it's much cheaper, hence GP's starting to prescribe Seebri instead of Spiriva. Elkira is another fairly new one to 'replace' Spiriva.
Some discussion has already taken place on here about these: blf.healthunlocked.com/site...
As with any change of medication, give it a while before deciding if it is causing any problems. Have a chat with the BLF Nurse via the Helpline if you need to settle your mind about Seebri.
Thanks for that, will check out relevant discussions.
hi ye i got put on elkira 3week bak i asked for seebri but got the latter, happen its cs i rung and said id heard of hear two new inhalers have been out a while got go bak 1aug c if it got my lung function up
Hi I was put on Seebri about 3 months ago but they didnt take me off spiriva, I have moderate to severe COPD , they told me to take it along with my symbicort and spiriva, it has made a dramatic change to my breathing it is much better, I hope it continues to improve I have not had to use my salbutomol hardly at all, so I hope it does the same for you but my GP said to stay on my normal meds also as I have said, good luck with it x carol
Thanks Carol,
I am still on my seritide and she said to double that if I am having a bad spell. It's all a case of suck it and see I suppose.
Kay
did u mean double ur seritide or elkira in a bad spell or ur case seebri, thanks,
Hi Caroll,
I meant double the seritide although after reading carolg1 post I think she may have said keep on the Spiriva for a bit.
I think I need to give the Dr a ring, I was a little bit shell shocked as I had just been told I have gone up to severe (although I am not as bad as lots of people that post on here)
Hi there, they will be stopping Spiriva, not only has the license run out they have always had problems with the capsules being empty, fortunately Seebee does not have this problem therefore more reliable. But basically they are the same product, of course the added advantage for the NHS is its cheaper
here in Arizona Seebri is more expensive than Spiriva respimat. i currently am on the spiriva as well as symbicort for air trapping for just 3 weeks and the last week really feels improvement
