Oh bless x Always hard when a friend gets some bad news - the best thing is for you to be her shoulder to cry on and in the meantime make sure you keep as well as possible and see your G.P for him/her to explain all those test results to you. Chin up, you're never on your own on here xx

Can only agree with scrobbity, especially about looking after yourself and getting doc to explain results. There is always someone here to listen. x

All the best, Pamela, it is always tough to hear a friend has a illness like cancer, I am sure that there are plenty of different treatments for her,and you will be able to help her. Should I take this moment to ask about the smoking. All this could be a test for you.

I am so sorry that its been a bad day. Be proud though, that you are not only such a wonderful friend to your friend, but you are still helping yourself by not smoking at the moment. No mean feat!

O my, you are having a very hard time. It's awful when someone close to you has a life threatening illnesses. All you can do is offer to be there for them and don't forget were hear for you if you need support yourself. Very well done on staying off the cigs it can be very tempting to give in when your under pressure so as Lynne said be very proud of your self.

Don't lose heart about your friend. I have two friends who have both gone through treatment and come out ok. One has had bowel cancer and the other breast cancer and they are doing fine, so don't give up. Hope that things improve for you.
