Hello crisy. Sorry that I can not help with your question, wish I could but some one will be along who can. I just wanted to say a very big Welcome to the site as I noticed you are new. It is a lovely site with loads of helpful friendly people some will make you laugh others will help keep your spirits up, give advice or support .Sometimes we fall out but like life you have to agree to disagree. We are all in the same boat, so its lovely to around like minded people. I know some one will be able to help you with your query soon. Take good care (Love the pic of your lovely dog) Best wishes Julie x x x

Hi crisy,

If you have problems with the mask the easiest thing to do is call the hospital who supplied it.

Some masks can be adjusted, some can't!

I guess your mask isn't too old so it is unlikely to have distorted, or straps stretched. You haven't lost much weight since you started usuing it, have you? That can make a difference.

Sorry i can't be more help! I hope you are having a good bank holiday.

Best wishes

Kevin

Hi Crisy

Welcome to the site. I just love that f####ing sound. When they trained me for mine I was told the side straps had to be as tight as possible as the were the ones that really made the seal. The head ones get tightened from them and are for the angle and how it sits on your nose. I also found that I could only keep it quiet if I slept with semi sitting with loads of pillows in the A shape and didn't turn my head.

Tomorrow phone the BLF helpline and they will give you all the help you need. Someone will be along with the number as I've forgotton it but it is on the BLF homepage. Hope that helped a bit.

Air leaks can be from an ill fitting mask or a grease build up, make sure you wash the soft seal that sits against the face every day with warm soapy water to remove oil build up, it can make a huge difference.
