Oh polly that's such bad news, not what we were all hoping for.
Certainly not the hoped-for outcome for either of you pollyjj but - and I know this won't be much of a consolation at the moment - at least your beloved hubby is still there with you and, with the advances that are being made in science and medicine as we write, who knows what's around the corner
Thanks everyone I am sure things will look brighter in the morning at the moment I am very sad for me and my hubby and I worry what will happen when I get ill, because I will not be able to look after him, still something to discuss with Social Services, does anyone think they will help because I am doubtfull.
My hubby told the doc he had his heart tested and they said he had one.
The doc said no my hubby had my heart and I had his.
As a newbie I don't say much...just sit and read which helps in so many ways. I should say a lot of thoughts are with you today, mine included. Love Mave x
I'm so sorry that this was bad news. I hope that you are able to get the support you need. Take care with much love TAD xx
Polly I'm so sorry to hear this, it must be so difficult for you both.
I believe you can ask your GP for a referral to the practice Occupational Therapist, she/he will come to your home to assess what free aids and adjustments they can provide.
Sorry to hear this. A relative of mine has had a huge amount of help and support fron the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind), which has enabled her to live independently - her husband died some years ago and despite the deterioration in her sight she manages alone in her flat. Despite their name they help anyone that has sight loss; you don't have to be blind. I'd really recommend them.
Hi Pollyjj, Social services will help so be sure of that. So sorry to hear of your news and hope that you can and do get all the help out there that you can. Thinking of you both. xxxxx
