the dangers of buying off EBay can be fatal...... think about servicing.. warranty... or any back up... why would you buy a medical unit off someone on EBay who doesnt know anything about it...... I brought mine for £1200.00 from a private company... excellent service and back up 24/7.... service yearly.. no hasssle no stress. I love my airsep freestyle.

Hi am looking to buy portable concentrator for my husband. Which private company do you use please. It seems a minefield at the moment.

I bought mine via eBay (but do be careful please) for £1300. It was 4 months old and still under warranty The new price was just under £3000.

If you receive the British Lung Foundation's magazine I understand that there are often advertisements in there for used machines.

Good luck with your search and don't forget to remind your dad to keep on keeping on ....

xx

Helo there Elain..... how can a unit brought from EBay still be under warranty.? whos the warranty with???

Dont forget to think about a service???

How are yo0u finding it ?

Hi

PortAble concentrators are now available through the oxygen provider who provide your dads oxygen. The portable concentrators are not the best option for everyone - your dad should speak to the person who prescribed his oxygen - ask them about the portable - if they feel it appropriate they should ask the oxygen provider to give him one. Why buy one when your dad could get one free.

Thanks

Mark

The Inogen is the size of a lge handbag & is on a little cart. Took mine out 1st time today & found it very easy to get about with & very easy to use. Wish i had had one ages ago its so much easier than having a liquid canister over my shoulder. Freedom !!

Oxygen providers do not always do the lighest units around..... private companies proivide a much better service.... the back up is excellent.... theres no such word as free???
