Not me personally but I have read that some others do. I expect they will be along shortly.

Yes , badly but I get gel nails on my fingers manipulated by being thicker at the tip so that they look like proper nails . They have to be done every 3-4 weeks as they begin to look like birds talons

Sorry to sound ignorant but what exactly is clubbing please?

Lorraine

Duhhh!

As far as I am aware the clubbing only occurs with fibrosis and is thought to be caused when oxygen levels in the finger tips get low. Mine are just beginning to show but I have been wearing acrylics for years until the last 8 months. I spend a lot of time massaging my fingers in the hopes it will slow things down. Can't bend down long enough to do the same with my toes!

I do suffer with fingers, toes and instep cramps every now and then Daz. It could be because of the Seretide as cramp is listed as a side effect.

I have clubbing of my fingers and toes but I don't have fibrosis

I have severe pure emphysema without any bronchitis or any other complications,

I used to be a musician and I am slowly loosing the ability to play some styles of guitar, and as for my singing I run out of breath and get dizzy after a few songs, feel i,m slowly loosing my identity specialist says clubbing is caused by lung disease and there is nothing that can be done as there is no cure for lung disease.

my nails curl and my fingers and toes have swolen and are causing severe discomfort now my specialist says there is nothing can be done other than use painkillers for the soreness!

I have clubbing of my nails, I have IPF & emphysema.

And have found they do seem to grow thicker and faster, when i first went to the doctors he asked to look at my nails after listening to my chest and sent me for my Xray,

als1uk, Yes my friend who had emphysema had very bad curling nails (she had a lung transplant two years ago) They look much better now. I have copd and my nails have a spoon shape, they tend to break easily.
