Does anyone else experience problems with the quality of their inhalers?. I have been on Clenil Modulite for two years now and over that time I have experienced problems relating to the inhalers. The past two Clenil inhalers I have had have both clogged up and I haven't been able to get any medication out of them. I have tried rinsing the cases (not the canister, the plastic case) to no avail. It's so bad this month I am going to have to ask my GP for another one before the script is due.
I have had asthma since childhood and I never remember having problems like this with inhalers, right up to about four years ago. It's certainly not anything I am doing, I have been using inhalers since 1988 when I was first diagnosed at age two!.
The quality seemed to nosedive after the pandemic, and I've been having mega problems ever since.
I was just fishing to see how widespread this problem is?.
Thank you

This happened with Fostair 100/6 MART over a couple of years, they would just stop with approximately 78 puffs left, it wasn'tjust me as severalmembers on ALUK had tge problemwith Fostair. Very annoying not to mention wasteful. I used to try swapping the plastic container with an unused one which worked sometimes. I also washed the inverted nipple of the container (where the spray comes out) with boiled water and a cotton bud that also sometimes worked. Leave to thoroughly dry on radiator. Looking back I think that was during the pandemic. Luckily the problem ceased although I had one that stopped in the seventies just last month. Over the years I've re-ordered prescription a little early each time so never run out and always have a spare 'just in case.
Thanks for this, sorry about my late reply. I have taken this up with both my GP and the dispensing pharmacy. Apparently it can happen, it's very annoying and potentially risky for people who rely on asthma inhalers to stay healthy and out of hospital. I wish they'd come up with a new device that was more reliable!. I really don't trust inhalers, it feels like you never know if you are getting the correct dose with some of them.
