I take montelukast for my asthma two tablets in the evening g I wheeze all the time sometimes sounding like a cat meowing other times like a motorbike engine. I use both my reliever and preventer sprays and have been coughing a lot my cough has been productive the mucus started as yellow and now is a darkish green colour and is fairly thick and bulky in consistency I have not been given antibiotics but I have been prescribed a nasal spray which helps a little. My next asthma assessment is via telephone in the new year.

ask your GP for a sputum pot to check if yr mucus is bacterial- if so they will give you antibiotics.
