I'm on day 11 of Covid now and been testing for negative for a few days.
I felt very ill for about 4 days with a weird headache, body aches and stuffy nose and sinuses, but I now can't shake off the terrible fatigue.
My asthma both times of having Covid has been manageable thankfully, but I wondered how everyone coped with the fatigue and how long it lasted for them?
I've read a lot about pushing yourself and ending up with long covid - so am being extra careful and not doing very much at all.

I was the same this time around. Easily fatigued for about 2 months after. Lot better now but I tried to both push myself and rest more than usual. I would say at the beginning the rest helped more than pushing myself. As ever, everyone will be different but body needs time to recover.
Yes very frustrating. I have a decent length walk to get to work and the number of times I had to stop was ridiculous. I at least slept better better usual!! Hopefully it won't last too much longer for you. Am glad your asthma has been manageable at least.
Feeling very frustrated as I've been going to the gym x3 a week and trying to recover from achilles tendinitis which has been dragging on for a year. However, I don't take it for granted that my asthma has been well controlled throughout, and the last time I had Covid it was too - I have bronchiectasis after I had pneumonia a few years ago, so am always very careful.
I think you're wise to be pacing yourself, it's the only thing to do (8 years of experience with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) & now post covid fatigue). I tested positive for the 1st time 19.6.24, I was beyond thrilled that it wasn't too bad at all, walked the dog as per usual and asthma remained controlled for the 2 weeks. By end of June I realised that I was more wiped out than usual, couldn't do much & hardly walked the poor dog. Now I realise it's post covid fatigue. About 10 days ago I made myself do a guided Cotswold walk, it was beautiful & followed by breakfast on Adam Henson's farm & an hours rest.
On a roll I walked about 4 miles a day a few days running. A huge mistake because I'm back to square one. Absolutely wiped out again. For me every time I overdo it it seems to take longer to recover .
I can't emphasise enough that pacing is the only way, little and often as you improve. I'm afraid it takes as long as it takes - though of course we are all different.
Yes it's very true - I'm not going to push myself at all as I don't want to end back up at square one. I hope you soon recover - the guided walk sounds amazing!
whatever you do, don’t push yourself too far. I did and now 15 months later I still have Long Covid. Be kind to yourself and give your body time to recover
I am just over first dose of covid. Was 'head in the bed' for about 4 days then 'walking wounded' with that awful fatigue for next two weeks. I did minimum things and paced self over the day but by end of week 2, I was 'up' all day. Fatigue continued into third week then suddenly lifted! Back to normal now a month over.
