Does Fostair Makes You More Sensitive to Allergens?

Hi guys,

I was diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma triggered by allergy around 6 months ago. My doctor gave me Fostair + Montelukast to manage it.

But since i started taking these my symptoms increased 10 fold.

What use to be occasional chest tightness during my routine running + unable to run two consecutive days if the first day is running in the woods (probably because at the first day i breath too much allergens), now become chest tightness almost ALL of my runs.

I decreased my running routine dramatically. It affects me badly as i'm not been able to live normal life as before.

What i noticed just recently is that I'm much less sensitive to allergens when i stop Fostair. But as soon as i start it back my condition gradually decrease.

At first, i start feeling chest tightness when run near to places where i usually don't have symptoms. Then this increase to the point where i have chest tightness just 3-4 minutes after i start running.

Does someone else with allergy trigger have such experience with Fostair? I don't take any other medications or supplements other than Fostair, Montelukast and my magnesium+vit b6 and zinc taken to avoid cramps from running.

I think of asking my allergist to change my inhaler, but i don't know if that will help or to look for other solution.

Glad i'm not the only one. It took me quite some time to realize what is happening. Did you found something that worked for you instead of Foster?

It is a new one on me. My fostair 100 has really helped.

Sounds like you need to try a different inhaler, of which there are loads for your medic to choose from.
