No not worried, but 50 is pretty decent.... so FENO is somehow directly related to the inflamation in your airways (genius) ... the higher the number the more inflamation is present in your airways ... do you have an asthma diagnosis?

Yes for years on fostair 200 they tried to change it to dry powder better for the environment I was told ? But made me worse so back on fostair. I was wondering do the feno test come down ever.

The fact your on fostair 200 and still blowing in the 50's indicates there "still some" (a decent some) inflmation in your airways ... in comparison mine was 30+ on fostair 200 ... after azythromycin for 6 months it's now 14-17 (so in the normal range)

The only way to get the Feno down is to reduce the inflamation in your airways(as far as I know)

I'm currently on Azithromycin and it's making a huge difference to my inflammation. 9 weeks down, 7 to go.

How long you taking it for? ... 16 weeks I make 4 months?

I've been taking it for a year (a little over actualy) and they told me it would take at least 6 months to do anything noticeable.... they even scheduled my appointment for 6 months after I started it.

This is my 3rd course in 6 years and they've all been 16 weeks in duration. It's been the best treatment I've experienced. My consultant did explain that the length of treatment differs depending on the patient.

I don't respond well to Prednisolone and even though it takes a few weeks for the Azithromycin to kick in, the results last for quite a while (2 years), but can have it every winter, if necessary. I don't have eosinophilic asthma and my endotype is more responsive to Azithromycin. All to do with a specific inflammation pathway and MAIT cells.

Raised levels usually indicate some Inflammation may be present
