Hi I've been a seasonal asthmatic for years, mainly in summer months, always used my blue inhaler when needed and Brown one in months when pollen high.. I've had no issues what's so ever until last review, nurse told me I be better now on fostair one.. Been using for 10 days now and can say feel terrible.. Really bad cough, waking up in morning with dry mouth not been able to speak hardly until have a drink..Pain inbetween shoulder blades.. Headache, ear ache..

Has anyone else had these issues..

It's the cough that's the worse

I think you should go back to nurse or doctor. It could be entirely coincidence that you started the new inhaler and now feel unwell. I think you need to be checked out to ensure you haven’t picked up a bug. If it is the inhaler then again visiting your surgery you can explain your symptoms and some other medication can be tried or even go back to the original inhaler that you were happy with.

You need to go back to your medic.

I normally get issues when moving between inhalers, that take a few weeks to settle down.

However your issues seem significantly worse than those I experience.

Alternatively, have a chat with the asthma UK helpline on 0300 2225800, office hours.

I had to give up on Fostair because it irritated my throat, causing me to have to constantly clear it, which made me worry about possible long term damage. I'm on Luforbec, which is apparently the same drug but cheaper as made in India. It's not perfect, but doesn't irritate my throat except on occasions when it dispenses more than one puff when I press it. I think you'll eventually find one that suits you.

Hi yes I felt unwell when they changed me to Fosair so requested I go back on salbumol and beclametasone, I've heard quite a few people not happy on it but, also many that are completely fine with it.
