I have been using Fostair for a few years but the last couple of months have had a very annoying cough ( about the time Igot my last 2 inhalers )
my lips are also very dry and sore, I have just started a new Fostair and it is very dry powder and I can feel what is like grit or sand texture is it just mine or have they changed these ?

Winter heating and cold weather has this affect on me. I go through lip salve like it's going out if fashion and I have to take on more fluids to keep hydrated. My Fostair hasn't felt more gritty, having a new one every 30 days, but I have a drink before and after every dose, then I rinse, then brush my teeth (never rinse after brushing).
The dry powder inhalers do have a silicone component, separate to the medication, in order to keep moisture at bay in damp conditions, so the medication should be dry on inhalation. I do find if I don't stand and tilt my head slightly up that the powder ends up in my mouth rather than my lungs.
