I've been on Relvar 184/22 and ventolin for a long while, I'm well controlled but still take too much Ventolin out of habit I think - Just wondering what would be an equivalent MART inhaler dose that would replace both current inhalers and in your experience is it worth investigating ths change?
I've been taking Ventolin for 50 years it feels like and with the current feeling that this is not optimal, I'd like to try and change something although as I said I'm curently well controlled
Thanks for any advice in advance

When you say you take Ventolin 'out of habit', do you mean you take it with no symptoms? Because if you do, surely the easiest thing is just to cut down. And if you are taking it to reduce symptoms, then surely that means your asthma is not as well controlled as it should be?
I'd suggest asking the Asthma UK nurses for advice. They will be able to advise if you really are taking too much and suggest ways of managing better.
When I say out of habit, I mean my asthma is as well controlled as it's ever been but I have taken a lot of ventolin in the past and as much as I try to avoid it, I think I almost subconsciously take it at times - I have stopped myself when its close to my lips before! I can obviously work on that, just interested in MART regimes and wondered what the equivalent inhaler would be to replace the Relvar and SABA - I will probably leave well enough alone but wanted to explore any options
Love the name, what do you ride? Anyhoo, Ventolin is a rescue remedy so if you constantly feel like you need that perhaps you should talk to an expert re any changes?
Mart though has greatly reduced my use of the blue inhaler. It also has reduced my overall steroid use. So it well worth asking your Gp about.
I have found that I get breathless quite easily, so it is easy to reach for the blue inhaler. To stop this I am concentrating on my breathing and my consultant has given me a referral to a respiratory nurse to help improve my breathing technique.
