A and e visit

I just had an absolute model a and e visit.

Had to ring 111, immediately answered, asthma below my safe limits and could not walk, talk properly etc. I was after a paramedic with a nebuliser, as my gp will not give me one.

Instead I got an ambulance within five minutes, they had been waiting for a call for two hours. They could not stabilise me with nebulisers, or sort it, so they took me straight in to a and e, which was very quiet, half empty.

Young registrar, inexperienced, but she listened to me, let me explain what I had wrong with me, and did what I asked re the solution. Took the plan to her boss, got it approved, and actioned it. She even organised my discharge, took the cannula out herself.

A brilliant visit, so thank you, a and e.
