I am wondering if anyone has experienced tooth loss after being on long term steroids of over 12 years ( prednisolone). My teeth just seem so weak and just drop out now or crack so easily that I have to have them out. Any advice would be great.

There are research papers on the effects of long term steroid use for asthma, and that included the inhalers. Many asthmatics have a reduced saliva production which can affect teeth.
I have just had two molars split vertically - same tooth but different sides - dentist cannot believe it. I’m on hydrocortisone for adrenal suppression
Had one removed, got the other one booked on for 28th - normal dentist will not remove it due the the adrenal issue so it is being done in hosp
Need cortisone injection to cover me
Good to hear that I’m not alone with tooth issues !
I dont often take pred but have steroid inhaler and nasal spray. I've had several cracked and broken teeth over the past few years. My dentist is private so its a small fortune over time on a credit card (0% interest always). Very blooming annoying
