Hi All,

Been a while since posted as feel as been ok.

I have been fine for months no need for blue inhaler or any steroid etc.

Had two Pfizer jabs and had the usual side effects which diminished over time, had feelings of sickness and nausea, like a sick taste in my throat mouth.

However, I've had the Pfizer booster and 2 wks later, feel as if throat clogging up and SOB, feels like Asthma symptoms have come back? Anybody experiencing this or have done so?

Like I said not needed blue inhaler for a long time and now went back to it 2 days I a row... just feel exhausted and SOB and throat clogging up but can't bring any mucus up...

Could the booster have excarbated the dormant Asthma symptoms?

Any ideas? Greatly appreciated?

I have no idea Ami. I have had 3 Pfizers with no change in my asthma, but we all react differently to different things.

Hi Ami, I had 2 Pfizer vaccines and a booster Pfizer, no side effects, asthma or otherwise. It’s probably like other drugs, and allergies, they effect some people, not everyone. Still keep vigilant with regard to Covid, we are one of the at risk groups. Bernardine

Highly unlikely to have a reaction two weeks after jab. More usual for reaction (if going to happen) to take place much quicker than this. Is far more likely that sadly you have picked up a bug of some sort. I assume you have tested for Covid just in case…..If blue inhaler stops being sufficient you will need to contact 111 especially as we are about to go into a long weekend.

Hi sorry to hear your not well, I felt really unwell was tired, sickness headache for 4 days after , didn't effect my asthma this time the second one did. Could it be flu had it wiped me out for ten days.

Very interested in this connection as coincidentally my asthma which is somewhat seasonal, had started about 24hrs prior to having the booster of Pfizer. I had the expected reactions but after they had finished I became very poorly with asthma and the usual treatments did not work. Further steroid course also did not work, as I have a coughing asthma I became exhausted, this has been the longest period that I have had feeling really rough. I must say I am very curious as to the side effects of the booster on a weakened immune system due to asthma. A more intense study may provide more concise information. But having suffered with asthma for so many years, like other fellow sufferers you get to know your reactions to your medications and quickly note any changes to your sensitive immune system.

It will be interesting to see if more information comes of this connection.

I wish you well.

I had the Moderna six weeks ago and yes it exacerbated my asthma. I always have a cough and since my booster my cough is much worse. I hope the new year brings an easier time for us all.
