Covid Vaccination of eligible 12-15 year olds

Hi is anyone else having trouble getting an eligible 12-15 year old vaccinated? My son is eligible as he is a household contract of me - immunosuppresseurs (long term oral prednisone). The GP gave me a letter to say he’s eligible and told me to take it to a walk in center. But the walk-in centres can’t do the under 16s. I told my surgery and they said they would let me know how/when. That was over 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. I tried phoning and the receptionist said someone would call me back. Still waiting. Just sent a rather stiff email to them. I’m getting very worried as he starts school next week. As my son’s an emotionally vulnerable adoptee with ASD and I’m his main carer I wouldn’t be able to isolate if he gets Covid.

I read in the media that under 16s will receive their covid vaccines at school, so after term begins. Not ideal for your situation, but as you say, it's difficult to find the necessary information. inews.co.uk/news/under-16s-...

An update, JCVI experts NOT to recommend Covid jabs for 12 to 15-year-olds mol.im/a/9956419 via dailym.ai/android

Looks like a decision has yet to be made. Lots of pressure for this to happen but the JVCI are not giving their backing to vaccinate under 15s.
