Hi

I suppose anything can trigger asthma but it could just be breathing pattern symptoms because of the exertion of drying your hair. I say "just" because it's no fun whatever the cause but sitting and doing simple breathing exercises should help. I often feel short of breath after getting showered/dressed etc but it's often not asthma symptoms more just exertion. Sitting and doing the breathing exercises for a couple of mins works wonders.
I open window when drying hair , as I’d noticed visual air changes in room , not saying it could cause an attack , but could irritate
It makes sense to me -- the hair dryer would blow through and stir up the dust/spores (bathroom?). The stuff accumulated on the coils can also get burned up, and on the other end comes out a mix of dry air (also an irritant) with a soup of semi-charred particles. It's for the same reason I do not use forced air heaters, and instead use sealed panel heaters that are easy to wipe and do not accumulate dust in the coils
Also, could be a sign of poorly controlled asthma? Whenever mine is poorly controlled "everything" becomes a trigger.
It could be a trigger for various reasons. Points already made here. Plus your arm position to dry hair could be constricting lungs… Also I know of a number of people who also struggle to keep arm raised.
