I had my 2nd AZ jab on 29th April this year and the following week I had an exacerbated asthma flare up, had the usual treatment of antibiotics and steroids but noticed a new symptom which was regular episodes of light-headedness, I have never has this happen before in over 40 years of being an asthmatic. At first we put it down to the flare up, but once my asthma was under control again the episodes continued. My condition is still being investigated and am currently waiting on results from a 24hr holter I had fitted a few weeks ago and will be speaking with my GP about that tomorrow. I also had full blood count which was normal, an ECG which was normal but with a slightly raised pulse, and my eyes were tested and showed no signs of stroke or any other issue. It isn't vertigo or labyrinthitis, I don't become dizzy and there is no feeling of spinning or swaying, it is literally like standing up too quickly and having that moment to steady yourself, except I have them all day long sometimes mild and sometimes intense. I have spoken with a couple of others who have had the same symptoms following their jabs, but theirs is not as frequent or severe as mine is. Of course I can't put 2 & 2 together to make 5 and say it is the AZ vaccine that has caused it, but it is concerning me and I just wondered if anyone else has or is going through the same thing either following asthma exacerbation or having their jab? By the way I would still have the jab rather than contracting Covid!

Long covid has a relationship with the onset or exacerbation of Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome - POTS - i don't know whether there is a link between vaccination too but maybe worth looking into.
Key things you can do to help is: 1 drink lots of water, add electrolytes if it goes straight through you.
2 rest, sit down to do household jobs and raise your legs as much as possible
3 switch to decaffeinated drinks
4 keep cool
5 eat small meals
6 make sure your GP has tested for anemia, low iron and low b12
Good luck though, it's horrible when it's really bad.
Thanks for your response. I had a full blood count done and all tests came back normal. It's a strange one as I have never had this before. The GP said that we can't rule out it being linked to the jab, but they obviously need to go down every avenue. I haven't had Covid, so long covid can be ruled out.
I am doing most of the points you have kindly posted. I can have 3 days straight of bad episodes all day long, and then the next couple of days it's quite mild, more like head fog, but not bad enough for it to affect me.
I checked the NHS website for POTS, and yes several of the the symptoms are pretty much the same but my heart rate doesn't increase as much, but I will find out the 24hr tape results tomorrow.
Things just feel worse when you don't know what is causing the problem.
Thanks again!
